The round is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the pay out schedule.
Generally, the minimum succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payment schedule can change from game to game, so that skillful players are able to select the most money-making ones every instance.
After the initial round has finished, the player can either decide to continue on in an attempt to increase their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any money that they may have won. Further, some styles of the game allow the player a chance to double their wins, in which situation a further hand is played. There are also differences among individual games, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying elements to enhance playability.
