Electronic Poker is a popular game that is able to be bet on in casinos across the globe, or alternatively at your house on your personal computer, using an Internet connection. The regulations are absolutely straightforward and consist of the player attempting to get the best combination of cards as you can in order to come away with money. Of course, methods employed during a physical game of poker, like bluffing, will be irrelevant here.

The game of Electronic Poker starts when the bettor inserts credits (whether it is tokens, tickets or cash) into the machine and pushes the deal button. A 5 card hand will then be "distributed" on the video screen.

The Video Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and gamblers will need to now decide which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the player would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they want, whether it is all or none.

After the player has decided on which cards he or she wishes to keep, the player will then press ‘draw’, at which point any new cards will be given out if desired. The game is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands listed in the payment schedule.

Typically, the lowest winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It definitely goes without saying that the pay out schedule can change from machine to machine, so that discerning players are agile enough to pick the most money-making game every instance.

As soon as the initial round has finished, the player can either choose to continue on in an attempt to increase their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that might been won. Further, a few styles of the game give the enthusiast an opportunity to double their wins, in which situation another round is played. There are also variations among individual games, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other differing characteristics to enhance playability.
