A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. After the first round has finished, the player can either choose to stay on and try to to increase their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that they may have won. Further, several styles of the game give the enthusiast an opportunity to increase their winnings, in which case another round is played. There are also variations between specific games, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other differing aspects to enhance playability.
